Hi ladies! Today I’m bringing you reviews and swatches for some gorgeous makeup by NYX. I received two lovely NYX Love in Paris palettes n my goody bag at the South Africa beauty blogger awards and I have to say I’m totally smitten.
First up I have the Love in Paris A La Mode
This palette contains a variety of silver, brown, gold, white, black, grey and white shades, some matte and some shimmery. The levels of pigment differ as well, some are more pigmented than others giving you a broad spectrum to play with.
Secondly I have the Love in Paris C’est La Vie
This palette has more vibrant shades, bronze, browns, gold, green, white and blue. These shades vary from shimmer to semi-shimmer and once again the intensity of the pigments differ from shade to shade.
The packaging from both eyeshadows palettes is really pretty, it’s black with a clear panel on the front, the clasp is a really gorgeous bow, mad about the detailing. The palette is really easy to open as well and comes with a dual ended applicator.
The shades from both palettes glide on and blend really well. I found that the shades containing more shimmer tend to be a tiny bit cakey but not so much that it would stop me from using the them, I am just a bit more cautious about the shadow fall when using those shades. The shadows are long-lasting and stays pretty throughout a tough eight-hour day.
I am really impressed by these two palettes and I think it’s time I invest in some more NYX goodies because on top of the lovely palettes, NYX is cruelty free and that is always a huge win in my book! Love the little bow on the packaging, but my fave pallete has to be the Love in Paris C’est La Vie

It’s really sturdy and easy to open, I can open it without ruining my mani 🙂
