Cocomo & Koos Kombuis

On Sunday night (5 July) I went with my most of my family down to the Wilderness Village to watch Koos Kombuis live in action at Cocomo Restaurant. It was a night filled with lots of laughter, good food and many drinks and as I’ve not done a restaurant review for Cocomo yet – I usually ate half my food when I realize I never took pictures of it, and I’m sure you guys don’t want to see a half eaten hamburger picture on here – and there is no time like the present.

Let me start of by giving you guys some more info on Cocomo. This restaurant is located in the heart of the Wilderness Village near the Wilderness info center and they are famous for their pizzas, steaks, burgers, seafood and of course their live music events 7 days a week brought to us by Comomo Productions. If you love local talent and great South African artists then this is the place for you to visit when you are in the area. The vibe is amazing, the people friendly, the food amazing and the service great. And don’t forget the cocktails! Many of you that follow me on instagram have been asking me where I drink those cocktails I’m always taking pictures of, so now you know!

Till date Koos Kombuis has been the biggest name to perform at Cocomo and it was truly a night to remember. The show kicked off with The Unit playing, some local talent featuring Ashley on vocals & guitar and Eugene on everything else. Next up we had Le Roy who some of you might recognize from Idols, love his music.

Then it was time for Koos Kombuis to take the stage and he made sure to give us a great show filled with lots of laughter, even after losing 1 guitar and 3 guitar strings on the second he kept on playing (and cussing) He invited some of the local artists to play with him on stage which made the show extra special and unique. We where lucky to have front row seats and didn’t miss out on anything we were entertained by songs like “Johnny” “Lisa se klavier” “Huisie by die see” and tons more until Koos Kombuis ran out of voice.

All and all it was a superb evening!
