Good day lovelies! Today is a fun review of 2 items from the Colourpop Fem Rosa collection. The Fem Rosa Collection is a collaboration with ColourPop and Karrueche Tran. The collection features a lip set, an eyeshadow palette and a face palette.
Colourpop Fem Rosa She Eyeshadow Palette
The Colourpop Fem Rosa palette features twelve pressed powder shadows in mauves, taupes, pinks and buttery metallic finishes. With 8 metallic shades and 4 mattes, what is not to fall in love with?! This was my first time using Colourpop pressed powders and I have to say I was pretty impressed.
Packaging
I am a huge fan of pink, hey my blog used to named pieces in pink so this pink flowery design was right up my ally! The palette is made out of sturdy cardboard. It’s kept securely closed with a magnet. On the back of the palette you will find all the shade names and ingredient list.
Formula
The pressed powder formula is very different to the super shock shadows I’m used too. I do find that the pressed powders apply easier with a brush than their super shock sisters. This is great as I prefer using a brush over my phalanges. The metalic shades are super buttery and has excellent colour payoff, the pigmentation is really great. The matte shades however, even tho they are buttery some of them tend to be a bit chalky.
From left to right we have:
- Ladylike is a metallic soft champagne
- Babe is a satin light peachy pink
- Dainty a metallic pinky taupe
- Chick is a metallic subtle gold
- Mademoiselle is a metallic rose gold
- Gal is a metallic red with copper duochrome
- Empress is metallic mid-tone pink plum
- Filly is a metallic rusty orange
- Dear is a matte warm rose
- Missy is a matte deep burgundy
- Damsel is a matte smokey violet
- Duchess is a matte dusty coral
The first four shades are perfect as inner corner and brow bone highlights while the other eight works well together to create fresh romantic looks for day time and more intense pink looks for night time. This palette is perfect for the warmer weather days and I can create pretty and playful looks with this palette.
Colourpop Fem Rosa She Face Palette
This Colourpop Fem Rosa face palette has all 3 necessities to pull any look together. Unfortunately this palette arrived with one pan broken and other popped out. After I fixed it, it wasn’t kind on the eyes so I don’t have a picture of it. This pallet is packed with a warm dewy glow, flushed pink cheeks, and a natural bronze. The fix didn’t effect the power and quality of the shades.
Packaging
This palette has the same gorgeous look as the eyeshadow palette and is also kept closed with a magnet. Unfortunately 2 of the pans were broken, I fixed them but they aren’t pretty on the eye.
Formula
The formula doesn’t disappoint. It is creamy and perfectly pigmented. The highlighter provides the perfect golden sheen for the cheek bones as well as the brow bone and cupid’s bow. The blush is the perfect shade of rosy and applies easily and flawless. I’ve only recently started slaying the contour and I find this matte shade perfect and easy to blend.
From Left to Right
- Lassie is a pearlized highlighter in a true gold shade
- Mistress is a matte blush in a rosey pink
- Dame is a matte bronzer in a neutral brown
This has become my go to face palette. It’s really compact and easy to take with me and the shades are really well suited to my skintone.
