It’s Noughty to the rescue, but is it nice?

Some time ago, before chaos struck from all sides I got sent some Noughty hair care products to try. I’m always searching for the perfect shampoo so I love trying what’s new on the market. I used every last drop of the shampoo and I’m still using the hair serum. But before I get into the review I’d love to tell you more about the brand first.

Noughty to the Rescue

I got sent two products from the To The Rescue range. I do struggle with frizz and my hair was dry from getting my hair highlighted, so I was ready to give this a go.

To The Rescue, Moisture Boost Shampoo

This intensely moisturising shampoo helps transform dry and damaged locks, splits, snaps and that dreaded frizz. The 97% natural, sulphate and silicone free formula cleanses without stripping. Sweet almond and sunflower seed extracts replenish lost moisture. The active ingredients include: House of Oils (Their unique blend of plant oils that assist in boosting the strength of hair, improves suppleness, smoothness and shine, and helps to reduce damage and breakage) Hydrating sunflower seed extract helps to create healthy looking hair. Moisture-replenishing sweet almond extract helps to strengthen hair. SLMI (Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate) is a mild, water-soluble surfactant derived from coconut. Being sulphate-free, this provides the lather and cleansing activity that powers all of the Noughty shampoos.

I say: I really enjoyed this shampoo, it smoothed my hair, making it more supple and manageable. The morrocan argan and almond scent lingered in my hair after a wash. Unfortunately one of the ingredients in the shampoo aggravated and triggered the eczema on my scalp so I could only use it every other wash. I would really like to try their range for sensitive scalps to see if it’s kind to mine.

To The Rescue Serum

This silicone-free, 97% natural serum with sweet almond extract and argan oil, helps increase elasticity and moisture, putting a stop to frizz, flyaways and bad hair days for a super sleek finish. Shields hair from heat up to 220°C to protect from splits and snaps. This makes this serum the perfect companion for any hair straightener. The active ingredients includes: House of Oils, Wheat bran extract it improves combability, adds gloss, and helps reduce snaps and splits. Moisture-replenishing sweet almond extract helps to strengthen hair. The Argan oil, rich in frizz-taming essential fatty acids, helps to increase hair’s elasticity. Mushroom extract contains natural enzymes that help to protect from heat and strengthens hair.

I say: I really love how this oil just tames those fly away baby hairs. It also helps to add shine and makes my hair smooth a sleek when using my straightener. I live in an area with humidity so my hair can really use the help I can give it!
