Good morning my lovelies. On Tuesday I joined Magaliesburg Wines for an adventure filled day in Magaliesburg. I will have a full post on the adventure part on the blog next week. For today I will be all about the wine. Magaliesburg Wine is a new label from Overhex Wines International. This range is targeted at the growing millennial wine market.
Magaliesburg Wine
The Natural Sweet White is made from 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Muscat d’ Alexandrie, (which adds
sweetness and flavour). It is an upfront and aromatic wine, with hints of guava and granadilla, and is positioned as a refreshment well-suited to outdoor entertaining and socialising.
The Naturally Sweet Rosé is described as “soft and refreshing, with hints of strawberry and cherries and a crisp, clean finish”. It is a blend of 85% Pinotage and 15% Chenin Blanc, giving it its light pink hue.
The Natural Sweet Red, is a “rich, robust semi-sweet red wine packed with ripe, succulent berry fruits and soft tannins”. It’s made from 80% Ruby Cabernet and 20% Cinsault.
New Favourite Wine
And I am not just saying this! I’ve always been a cocktail girl because I’ve found many wines too dry even when they are said to be sweet. This wine, as Ben the winemaker referred to it, is a party wine. It is crisp and light and sweet. I got to try the Rosé and White and I loved both of them. This wine will be my new social best friend for the festive season!
The packaging is also fresh and clean and looks sophisticated. These are available in 750ml bottles and 3 liter bag in box. The bottles retail for R40, which I think is a very good price for a great tasting wine.
If you’d like to find out more about these gorgeous wines you can give them a follow on social media! Over here on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
