Introducing the Ice Cream Kromask from Inebrya

kromask 07 with Elizabeth H

Ever since the rules of school didn’t apply to me I’ve been doing weird things to my hair. Always not the best decisions for my hair health. Like that time with the red henna – thank goodness it was only a little bit and not my whole head! Now that I’ve grown older I do fun things to my hair with a LOT more caution. I stay away from permanent colour at home kits. I always ask advice from my stylist before using any products on my head. With all the new fashion colours and hair trends coming out I’m sure we’ve all at some point wanted to try pink, blue, green or purple hair.  The Ice Cream Kromask from Inebrya makes this possible without you having to commit!

The Ice Cream Kromask from Inebrya

The innovative range of brightening products and nourishing masks for creating countless safe and personalisable colour effects. It is recommended for natural, bleached and streaked hair and is ideal for brightening the colour in between hair dyeing and to illuminate hair with intense reflections whenever it is dull and lifeless. Kromask Professional nuances are also suitable for young people since they are completely free of ammonia and oxidising agents.

Formulated with and acidic pH (3.5) to give a longer lasting reviving action, all masks contain special “grip” colour pigments that help close the cuticle scales for a smoother, more compact and glossier hair structure.

Nebeau was kind enough to send me one of these masks to try out. I’ve recently gotten my hair highlighted. I also have the tiniest bit of pink in the front. Again with the colour commitment issues! I once tried a mask overseas that made my hair the shade of cotton candy so I was so excited to try the Kromask in Rosa/Pink.

Packaging

The Kromask bottle is really sturdy and comes with a pump. I really love products that gets dispensed via a pump as there is less waste. The bottle itself is white with a slight pink tint. It contains 300ml of mask. I use about 6 – 10 pumps per treatment.

How to use the Ice Cream Kromask

The directions instructs to shampoo your hair and use disposable gloves to spread the mask evenly through towel-dried hair with a comb. The Rosa mask doesn’t have that much colour pigment that gloves are needed. I didn’t have any so I thought I’ll just risk it, so I’m happy to report that it didn’t stain my hands. I can’t say the same for the towel that got some on, oops. You then leave it on for 5 to 20 minutes depending on the intensity you want.

I’v tried the mask three times so far. The first time I just used a regular store shampoo. I left the mask on for 20 minutes. The results wasn’t very noticeable. The next time I tried it I used my Fanola shampoo. I got a bit more vibrancy. The pink is very subtle and it kinda looks like I had a pink colour rinse. It doesn’t show up really well on photos so I hope you guys can notice the difference. It can last 3 – 5 washes.

Other Results

Putting the fashion colours aside I have to say I was really impressed with the mask itself. It nourished my hair, took away my frizz and left my with glossier hair as promised. My hair is super manageable and I can dry and style it in much less time than before. So even if you aren’t into fashion colours this is a really good treatment mask range.

Kromask Range

The Kromask range is available in 11 shades so even if you don’t want to try a fashion colour you can still experience the mask. It has a variety of natural and fashion colours!

The Kromask is available from Nebeau, you can contact them for pricing. I personally recommend this product if you have coloured hair and would love to keep your colour vibrant between colouring. If you’d like to play around like me with different shades I think the darker shades will have more colour payoff on lighter hair like violet and cherry red. The people over at Nebeau also let me know for a more intense pink you can mix the cherry red and pink. Because this washes out easily you can go completely crazy with experimenting!
