Current Beauty Favourites for 2017

Good day lovelies! It’s hard to believe that it’s already June and we are 1 month away from being halfway through the year. I haven’t been posting monthly beauty favourites at all this year so I thought I will do a roundup of all the products I’ve been loving so far.

Skincare Beauty Favourites

For skincare I’ve been loving Neutrogena Hydro Boost. I have a combination skin with an oily T-Zone. I’ve noticed when I use products for combination skin that it dries the oily parts out a lot. I end up with flaky skin and we all know how horrible it looks applying makeup over that mess. With the hydro boost range I keep my skin hydrated without over moisturizing. I use the water gel cleanser together with the gel-cream.

Another favourite is the L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks. I have the purity and glow masks and use them as needed. I feel that they both do a great job and is totally worth the price tag.

Haircare Beauty Favourites

My hair took a knock from bleaching it twice while in the Netherlands and I was so shocked when I first noticed it.  I picked up the OGX Sea Mineral moisture surge deep treatmend and started using it together with the Argan Oil of Morocco penetrating oil. My hair immediately felt and I saw an improvement immediately. I continue to treat my hair with these two products.

Makeup Beauty Favourites

Now we’ve gotten to the really fun part of this post! Makeup, makeup and more makeup. I’ve been loving so many products the past while so sit tight, I will try and keep it short.

Face

I picked up the L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion while in the Netherlands and I am totally smitten with it. It’s the first time ever I’ve managed to nearly use up a foundation. It’s extremely light weight, gives medium coverage with a healthy glow. I’ve been in touch with L’Oreal, they unfortunately don’t have any plans of bringing this to SA currently. I am totally heart broken!

For highlighters I love my Urban Decay Naked Illuminating Trio. The shades all give me a gorgeous glow. I am also smitten with my Colourpop Cosmetics Super Shock Holographic Highlighters that I got for Christmas from my hubby. I have them in all three shades, Over the moon, Perilune and Honeymoon.

Eyes

My current go to eyeshadow palettes include my Juvia’s place Saharan Palette, my Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon palette and my BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo Eyeshadow Palette. With these three I can create nearly any look I can imagine. My favourite mascara the past couple of months has been the They’re Real Mascara from Benefit cosmetics. The mascara stays put and defines my lashes beautifully.

Lips

I have so many lipsticks and glosses that I love but if I have to single out those that I reach for first when I’m going out it has to be the Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in Beso. I also reach for my Benefit They’re Real lipsticks in Revved-Up Red and Lusty Rose. My all time favourite lipstick however is my Colourpop Lippie Stix. I just adore the shade topanga and konniciwa.
