How does it work?
- Browse the website for that perfect pair of frames.
- After selecting your frames you can virtually try them on, by uploading an image of yourself.
- Choose the purpose that you will use your glasses for, for example single vision for reading or single vision for using while on your computer. You will then be able to enter your prescription and puppilary distance.
- Go to the shopping cart to confirm your order.
- Enter your shipping details and checkout your order.
My experience
My biggest concerns about using this service was the import tax and the fact that I have astigmatism (This is when the cornea has an irregularly curved shape, like a rugby ball, causing the person to see oval shapes instead of round) So lets tackle my first concern. Even tho the store is American owned and operated the glasses gets made and sent to you from China, this lets you skip import tax for most countries. On the other side this also extends the waiting time. From when I sent my prescription up to when I received my glasses took 8 weeks. I understand that it was ordered during silly season which may be the reason for the delay.
Now for my second concern, my glasses arrived here perfectly. I can see 100% correctly with them and I have to say that the quality is great, much higher than what I expected.
I still have to take my glasses to be bent a bit at an optometrist as my ears aren’t level and I’m scared that if I do it myself I’d break the ear off.
