Cuppa for Cansa

This post is really, super late and I apologize for not getting to it sooner! Last year I hosted a Cuppa for Cansa to raise money and awareness for Cansa, Cuppa for Cansa’s official dates are from June till end of October and I’m planning another one for this year. I hosted mine at the end of October which is breast cancer awareness month and it was a load of fun! Cocomo Restaurant in Wilderness kindly let me host my cuppa for Cansa there and sponsored the tea and coffee and I made some yummy cakes. At the end of my Cuppa Cocomo matched what I raised, which was really amazing! Two days later I headed over to the Cansa office in George and handed in my donation, what a great feeling.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone that attended, even my 88 year old grandmother and a special thanks  to Glamore Cosmetics that sent me something I could give out in a thank you box (I included some handmade earrings), another big thank you to Tamryn Calitz for all her help on the day, setting the table and running around making tea and coffee and last but not least an extra special thank you to Cocomo Restaurant for letting me host my Cuppa and for being so generous.

Cancer awareness and re-search is something that lies really close to home, my Dad passed away from brain cancer when I was 12, so being able to do a little bit to help makes me happy…
