Faux Chocolate Truffles
Easy to make chocolate treats that looks just like chocolate truffles.
- 250 ml Icing Sugar Sifted
- 100 ml Cacao Sifted
- 1 packet Marie Biscuits Crushed using a food processor or any method of your choice
- 125 g Butter Softened
- 125 ml Apricot Jam The smooth one works better
- 5 ml Vanilla Essence Or any liqeur of your choice
- 125 ml Coconut
Sift the icing sugar and cacao together in a mixing bowl.
Add the crushed marie biscuits, mix together.
Add the butter, apricot jam and vanilla, mix really well.
Roll the mixture into bite sized balls and roll each one in the coconut.
Store these in the fridge or freezer.
You can use the blender, hand mixer or spoon to make these! We've even made them with Amarula.
As a variation you can hide a nut or cherry in the center of each Faux Chocolate Truffle.
