Faux Chocolate Truffles

Easy to make chocolate treats that looks just like chocolate truffles.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml Icing Sugar Sifted
  • 100 ml Cacao Sifted
  • 1 packet Marie Biscuits Crushed using a food processor or any method of your choice
  • 125 g Butter Softened
  • 125 ml Apricot Jam The smooth one works better
  • 5 ml Vanilla Essence Or any liqeur of your choice
  • 125 ml Coconut

Instructions

  • Sift the icing sugar and cacao together in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the crushed marie biscuits, mix together.
  • Add the butter, apricot jam and vanilla, mix really well.
  • Roll the mixture into bite sized balls and roll each one in the coconut.
  • Store these in the fridge or freezer.

Notes

You can use the blender, hand mixer or spoon to make these! We've even made them with Amarula.
As a variation you can hide a nut or cherry in the center of each Faux Chocolate Truffle.
