If you’ve seen my Nettari post you would know that food posts are coming and this is the first foodie post featuring some of the delicious syrups by Nettari, a chocolate cheat cake with mascarpone hazelnut frosting. I chose an easy cheat way to make a delicous cake so if you want to make a delicious cake dirtying only a few dishes then read on! Chocolate Cheat Cake.
I’m not calling this n cheat cake because you enjoy it while cheating on your diet. This is a cheat cake because it’s so easy to make because the secret is a box cake. Sjjjjt.
This is what you will need for the Chocolate Cheat Cake
- A Golden Cloud chocolate cake mix with frosting
- 1 Tub of Mascarpone
- 20 ml Nettari Hazelnut Syrup
- 1 Hazelnut Chocolate Slab (optional)
Start by reading the instructions of the cake mix then prepare your cake batter, I opted for using 1 pan. After the cake baked and cooled I popped the mascarpone into a mixing bowl and mixed it with the frosting packet that cake in the cake mix box. I mixed in 20ml of Nettari Hazelnut Syrup.
I divided my cake into 2 and sandwiched it together using a third of the frosting. I covered the cake with the rest of the frosting and topped it with a grated hazelnut slab. All I can say is yum!
So there you have it, a really easy and delicious cheat cake.
